What could be cooler than a full eclipse? I saw it near Kansas City where it was 88.9% full. We pulled into a park with our eclipse glasses and watched for a while. It was pretty cool but not what we expected. I thought there would be darkness, but it was more like a greyness to the atmosphere. I guess the sun has a way to keep shining even in this event.
But the best part of our trip is getting to see my new grandbaby, and her folks. I haven’t seen her since mid-Jan and she has changed so much. She recognized me, which was thrilling. She is a well-fed breastmilk baby! Night and day are still not fixed in her mind, so she is obeying her belly and nappy for her signals to ask for help. It is a pleasure to see her parents responding to her so well.
I’m so excited to be a small part of the planning for the conference coming up in October in San Antonio. I can hardly wait to see everyone live and to get to share, dance, learn, hug and have a great time. Be sure to find a friend and come on down and join us. San Antonio is such a great city and we will be very close to the Riverwalk. What a cool place. I’ve seen the list of the many speakers who have submitted an abstract. Wow, we will get to listen to some really good professionals!
It was recently “Hug your dog” day. I think we should create a “Hug your doula” day. I got big hugs from my daughter, who was also my doula client in December. It felt good! And then a “Hug your educator” day. Hmmm, my imagination is really going now.
I just sent in my recertification papers. It feels good to get that job done. I’m making a vow to get all the paperwork together as the years go by next time. Did you know that if you register for and attend the conference, you will be able to get all your CEs needed to recertify?
Hope to see you there~
