Convention 2008: Day One

What a great start to Convention!! We are so excited to see so many new face along with those who we have met before.

We kicked off the evening with a rousing version of "ICEA" sang and danced to the tune of YMCA. That's right, us childbirth educators got funky and it was all thanks to Dolly Wagner who wrote the lyrics.

Next up yours truly got a chance to officially debut the brand new ICEA website. Trust me when I say that I almost burst from excitement trying to keep it under wraps. We are truly proud to be moving ICEA into the 21st century with new features such as: this blog, a shopping cart for our store and coming very soon an online forum and virtual contact hours! Many thanks go out to the fantastic IT team at First Point Management services: Mat, Greg and Erik. These very talented men have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to build a framework and design the look of this site. We could not have done it without their expertise!

Our first general session was with the incomparable Richard Obershaw who taught Stress: the Spice of Life or the Kiss of Death. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that he is a rare gem. We laughed and learned and kicked the conference off on such a great note.
